"Aristide" is a male out of the first litter in this kennel.
When he was not sold until the age of 6 months I decided to keep him.
He was the fifth dog in my gang besides the German Shepherd "Marko",
his parents, and his older sister "Arwa".
"Aristide" was a dog with an excellent character and easy to handle,
as well as to work. He was shown several times with excellent results,
having more and more success the older he was.
He had a special "connection" to the German Shepherd "Marko", since
that dog had lots of attention for the litter, helping "Arwa"
to grow and educate the puppies.
When "Aristide" was 2 years old some interests came, but I did not want to
sell him. Those interests then went to a breeder and got a puppy from there.
Unfortunately this puppy died, although having been vaccinated, with
Parvo at the age of 16 weeks, making it impossible for the owners to have
a new puppy for several months in their house in fact of the risk of infection.
They wanted to have a Briard male joining their German Shepherd bitch.
Recognizing that "Aristide" would preferably not been taken for
breeding from me, since he was a bit too high, I now decided to offer
him to those people, knowing that "Aristide" would surely love to spend
his life with a German Shepherd, since he missed "Marko", who had been set
to sleep at the age of only 7 1/2 years in case of very bad HD in September 1995.
They wanted to have "Aristide", but begged me to try how he feels in his
new home before signing a contract. "Aristide" was happy and funny
from beginning on - he had no problems leaving the gang.
Since April 27th, 1996 "Aristide" has a new home, spending all day long
with his owners and his dog friend. Most of all he is a pet dog, but from
time to time he's entered to shows and has excellent results each time.
